THE VILLA
Just beyond the massive hand-carved wooden gates of 23 Palm lies a vast two-acre estate. Guests are transported to their own private world where lavish luxury meets barefoot tranquility, complete with palm trees, crashing waves and a beautifully-appointed Dutch colonial villa.
23 Palm is fully-equipped with modern plumbing, air conditioning and a house staff to take care of any requests during throughout one's stay. The large living room, with soaring 18-foot ceilings, is furnished with an impressive collection of American and European furniture. The home boasts two master suites of tremendous proportion, as well as a junior suite, ideal for a single guest. All suites have private baths, and both master suites have outdoor showers for guests interested in enjoying the sounds of the Indian Ocean.
The tea house on the sea provides al fresco dining and a comfortable living area overlooking the sizeable swimming pool and sandy beach.
DINING
23 Palm has a dedicated chef to provide as many meals as guests desire. The chef is trained in a wide variety of international and local cuisines, and guests are encouraged to provide him with their meal preferences. An a la carte menu of standard fare is also available.
For those who prefer to venture beyond the property, 23 Palm is located just minutes from Galle and the historic Dutch Fort, as well as many hotels, restaurants and beach clubs on the Gold Coast.
