A courtyard pool provides a focal point of dappled shade, perfect for ending a day of sightseeing, enjoying the local beaches or just to relax and forget everything. Sink into the deep chairs and sip your sundowner on the west facing roof terrace and enjoy the spectacular views of the sunset and the panorama of the Dutch fort ramparts.

With four bedrooms en-suite, three doubles and one twin, one double is located on the ground floor providing easy access and pool courtyard views; The Fort House provides comfortable roomy accommodation for up to eight persons.

The three separate living areas provide ample room to find your own space. The main sitting/dining room is long and high with feature archways, vast comfortable sofas, cool white walls and floor and gentle lighting from lamps and recessed fittings. Furniture, colorful local art and ornaments reflect the traditional craftsmanship of Sri Lanka, old and new, whilst the locally made teak dining table shows the high quality of modern skills at which up to 10 people may be seated comfortably and is excellently located by the pool courtyard.

A study/reading area is available together with internet access for those with traveling business needs, and for the rare rainy day there is a satellite TV/DVD mezzanine level to keep up with the outside world should you so wish.
