The house was built at the start of the 19th Century for a Dutch merchant and his wife. Lovingly restored, the 200yr old house, with an eclectic mix of traditional features and modern furnishings, results in a comfortable family retreat.
The original site of the fort was colonised by the early Portuguese settlers and tradesmen, but then later taken by the Dutch who built the Fort to defend their interests. |
